2003 Annual Meeting

The 2003 annual meeting of the Colusi County Historical Society was held Saturday, noon, February 22, 2003, at the Trinity Methodist Church on the corner of Fifth and Oak Streets in Colusa, California. President Charles Martin opened the meeting at the scheduled time with the Pledge of Allegiance. A meal was provided by the Methodist Ladies Group. After the meal, the nominations for the newly appointed officers were announced and approved by the membership.

Our guest speaker was Dr. Michele Shover who spoke about the Native American/American Settler 'troubles' in the north valley during the 1850's and 1860's.  After Dr. Shover's speech, a question and answer session took place, then Dr. Richard Johnson spoke about the Wagon Wheels Publications. Back issues of Wagon Wheels and an index were available for sale after the official close of the meeting.
