The Sites Cemetery began in the 1870's as the private burial ground for the John Lee Sites family. He was the founder of the town. Over time, it grew into a community cemetery. It will have to be removed and relocated to the nearby Maxwell Cemetery, which is East of town, if the proposed Sites Reservoir is built.
