About the Webmaster

Hello, my name is Clark Cook and my wife and I have been a residents of Rocklin since June, 2002. My wife and I first found out about Pebble Creek Drive from the internet, when my wife was looking at websites of where to see Christmas lights. It was in December of 2000 when she came across the original Pebble Creek website. When she pointed this out to me, I thought it would be worth looking into. At the time, we were renting an apartment in the Bay Area.

As we walked down Pebble Creek Drive for the first time, we were mesmerized at the sight of so many houses that had been decorated. I had brought my newly purchased digital camera and I took nearly fifty pictures without the aid of a tripod. Fortunately, most of them did turn out and those are the ones you can see on the first gallery page.

The following year, we returned to see that most of the neighborhood had been decorated in a patriotic scheme in tribute to our country. This was touching. In the spring of 2002, we were seriously looking into buying a home. We had considered buying in Vacaville or Dixon and even looked at Manteca and the greater Sacramento Area, including Rocklin. Buying a home in Rocklin would mean a long commute to San Francisco, but after talking it over with my wife, we decided that this community would be a wonderful place for us to live. Although not on Pebble Creek Drive, we found the perfect home for us on the other side of town.

We moved to our new home in June, 2002. It took a bit of adjusting to being homeowners, but it was a very good adjustment. As the holiday season approached us, we spoke to a good friend of ours, Doug Hulsebus who lives on Pebble Creek Drive. The creator of the original website had moved to Southern California and the website had departed cyberspace. I thought this would be the good opportunity to donate some of my computer knowledge and create a website, so the world could still see this wonderful display.

Mr. Hulsebus donated the funds for the domain name, pebblecreeklights dot com as well as the web space. After that was established, I got to work designing a new website from scratch. Our ideas were utilized to what you see on the site today. Without Doug's input and generous funding, this site would not be possible. Doug also organizes the canned food drive, where canned food is donated at the wishing well at the end of the street. The donations are then distributed to various charities around the community.

Had my lovely wife not come across the original website, we would not be residents of this fine community. My father, a resident of Orange County in Southern California for over forty years, passed away in July, 2003. He too, is now a resident of Rocklin, where he is resting in peace. From all of us in Rocklin, Ca. we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
